An opportunity is available for a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to support cardiac catheterization procedures in a busy cardiac cath lab setting. This role offers consistent weekday hours with an on-call and holiday rotation commitment, providing a robust work-life balance within a collaborative healthcare team.
Location Details: Situated in Crown Point, Indiana, this position is based at a well-equipped cardiac catheterization laboratory serving both inpatient and outpatient populations. The lab is set within a facility that features a 2-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:1, ideal for focused and specialized cardiac care. The practice uses advanced cath lab equipment and EMR systems, including EPIC Cupid, ensuring technology-supported patient management.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM or 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (four 10-hour days)
- 40 hours guaranteed weekly
- On-call and holiday coverage required
- Possible float to nearby Munster cath lab
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures with accuracy and adherence to protocols
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring safety standards
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff in a high-acuity environment
- Document procedure details accurately in the electronic medical records system
- Participate in orientation and complete required education modules prior to start date
Qualifications:
- Valid Radiologic Technologist State Licensure
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification current
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab environment
- Comfortable with both emergent and routine cardiac patients
- Strong team orientation and adaptability
