Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for an experienced professional with a strong background in Cath Lab technology to make an impact in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This contract position involves working alongside a skilled team to provide critical imaging support during cardiovascular procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Four 10-hour shifts (4x10s)
  • Rotating on-call requirement
  • Openness to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays if needed

Key Qualifications:

  • Certified as RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT (Radiologic Technologist); ARRT candidates must hold a valid New York State license
  • Active certifications in BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
  • Minimum of three years OB experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of imaging protocols and cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures
  • Ability to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians who will directly operate x-ray equipment
  • Adaptability and willingness to participate in rotating call coverage as well as occasional holiday shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Support physicians and nursing staff during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab
  • Operate ancillary equipment and assist with patient preparation and safety
  • Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate record-keeping throughout procedures
  • Follow protocols for infection control and radiation safety
  • Respond promptly and effectively during emergent situations
  • Deliver consistent, patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism and compliance with regulatory standards
