Job Description

Support cardiac catheterization procedures as a skilled Cath Lab Technologist in Cloudcroft, NM. This contract position offers a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule with call requirements every other weekend from Friday 4:00 PM to Monday 5:59 AM. The role focuses on preparing the cardiac cath lab, operating essential imaging equipment, and maintaining patient and procedural documentation with precision and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include ensuring all major equipment is operational, stocking supplies, reviewing patient schedules, and collaborating with the cardiac care team to optimize workflow and patient safety. You'll operate fluoro imaging systems, manage hemodynamic monitoring, and maintain aseptic technique. Serving as the radiation safety representative during X-ray use, this role also involves training on advanced cath lab technologies and actively contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology school, associate degree in healthcare, or equivalent required; bachelors degree preferred
  • 0-1 year of acute care experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (AHA only) required
  • Preferred certifications include RCIS, RCES, RCS, ARRT credentials, RDMS, RDCS, RVT, or equivalent
  • State licensure as applicable (New Mexico: RRT or FUS by MIRTP NMED)

Schedule/Hours:

  • 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
  • Call every other weekend from Friday 1600 to Monday 0559
