A specialized opportunity is available for a skilled Imaging Cath Lab Technician with expertise in Electrophysiology (EP) to support cardiac procedures in a dynamic lab setting. This contract role is based in Chicago, IL, within a state-of-the-art cardiac cath lab featuring four procedure rooms and 15 prep/recovery bays, ensuring personalized 1:1 patient care. Scrubs are provided onsite for your convenience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians by scrubbing in on structural heart, complex coronary, peripheral, and EP procedures
- Apply in-depth knowledge of pacemaker and Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD) management during interventions
- Maintain high-quality imaging standards and efficient cath lab workflow
- Collaborate effectively with the cardiac care team to ensure patient safety and procedural precision
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a cath lab environment with a strong EP background
- Proven skills in scrubbing and assisting with advanced cardiac procedures, including pacemakers and ICDs
- Active Illinois state license (IEMA), BLS certification, and ARRT credential required
- Highly preferred: ACLS certification and prior experience with EPIC electronic health records system
- Previous travel healthcare experience is a plus
