Job Description
A specialized role in cardiac imaging technology is available, focusing on cath lab procedures within a busy interventional radiology setting. This contract position requires skilled operation and preparation of advanced radiographic equipment to support angiographic and cardiac catheterization procedures efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures, including sterile tray setup, post-cath care, and room cleanup to maintain procedural flow and sterility standards.
- Operate and adjust radiographic generators and imaging equipment to capture high-quality cine radiographic images, ensuring precise visualization for diagnostics.
- Utilize and manage electronic monitoring devices such as cardiac output computers, oxygen saturation monitors, hemodynamic tools, and pacemakers; conduct oxygen saturation studies and cardiac output measurements to assist physicians during procedures.
- Collaborate closely with cath lab and interventional radiology teams to ensure timely and effective use of the cardiac cath lab and special procedures.
Desired Experience:
- Proven experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent imaging role in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating advanced radiographic and hemodynamic equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, with strong attention to detail and patient care.
- Knowledge of sterile technique and cath lab procedural protocols.
