This travel OT assignment offers exceptional exposure to a variety of adult home health cases in Brookfield, with coverage across vibrant Racine and Kenosha Counties. This dynamic environment will allow you to collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, gaining insights from experienced RNs and PTs while caring for adults recovering from strokes, joint replacements, or managing chronic conditions like COPD and CHF. Build your skills while contributing to patients independence in their own homes, all while discovering new leadership styles and innovative approaches to patient care.
Schedule:
- Monday Friday, approximately 7:45 AM 4:00 PM
- No weekends, on-call, or holiday shifts
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of OT experience (home health preferred; SNF or acute care considered)
- Current WI OT license and BLS certification
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy (or higher)
- Valid drivers license, vehicle, and current auto insurance
- Proficiency with general OT evaluation, adaptive equipment, and ADLs
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred, or willingness to learn
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of around 6 adult home health patients per day (evaluations and standard visits)
- Conduct focused OT assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
- Collaborate with RNs and PTs in daily morning huddles and ongoing care
- Document care using EPIC EMR
- Travel throughout Racine and Kenosha Counties to provide personalized in-home therapy
