Bring your expertise as a Nurse Practitioner to a dynamic per diem opportunity focused on home health risk assessments with a Medicare Advantage health plan. This role allows for flexible scheduling throughout Carteret County, NCincluding Morehead City, Beaufort, and Newport. Youll play a meaningful part in supporting patient health without the pressure of treatment plans or prescribing.
Schedule:
- Flexible shifts available Monday through Sunday
- Create your own schedule
- Minimum weekly or bi-weekly hourly commitment
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform annual home health risk assessments for Medicare Advantage members at their residences
- Assess prior and current medical history, existing medical conditions, and medication usage
- Offer patient education on diagnosed conditions and prescribed medications
- Identify care gaps and recommend solutions to optimize patient wellness
- Focus solely on assessmentno treatment planning or prescribing required
Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
- Current CPR certification (BLS)
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)
- Minimum of six months recent NP experience preferred
- MSN from an accredited nursing program
This position provides compensation of $80-$90 per evaluation, plus a mileage stipend and additional compensation for administrative time.
