Enjoy the flexibility of per diem work as a Nurse Practitioner, where your expertise will have a meaningful impact on patient care in the home health setting. This opportunity centers on conducting thorough home health risk assessments for Medicare Advantage plan members throughout Buncombe County, including Asheville, Montreat, Biltmore, and Woodfin. Each visit averages 45 minutes and could include annual assessments or post-discharge evaluations, depending on patient needs. You will not be responsible for prescribing medications or creating treatment plans, allowing your focus to remain on comprehensive assessment and patient education.

- Flexible shifts available Monday through Sunday

- Minimum weekly or bi-weekly hourly commitment
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform home health risk assessments, thoroughly reviewing current and past medical history, conditions, and medications
- Deliver patient education regarding health conditions and pharmacological therapies
- Identify gaps in care and provide actionable recommendations
- Accurately document findings from each assessment
Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
- Board Certification through AANP or ANCC
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- MSN degree from an accredited nursing program
- At least six months of nurse practitioner experience preferred
Compensation and Perks: This per diem role offers $80$90 per evaluation, plus a mileage stipend for travel and additional compensation for administrative time.
