Job Title: School Psychologist
Location: Talent, OR
Are you a compassionate and dedicated School Psychologist looking for an opportunity to positively impact the lives of students? Do you have a strong understanding of psychological principles and a passion for working within an educational setting? We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated School Psychologist to join our team in Talent, OR. This position offers a fulfilling role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students within our school district.
Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and support strategies for students.
Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing a range of issues such as academic performance, behavior, and mental health concerns.
Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring appropriate goals and accommodations are in place.
Support the implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and other school-wide programs aimed at promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with community resources and agencies to coordinate services for students and their families.

Requirements:

Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Oregon (or eligibility for licensure).
Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques, including intelligence and achievement tests, behavioral observations, and social-emotional assessments.
Experience conducting psychological evaluations and interpreting assessment results.
Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
