Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing, a nationwide healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week contract position in Duluth, GA. The successful candidate will join our client, a leading nationwide home health agency, and provide quality patient care in a home-based setting.

Contract Details: 

  • Location: Duluth, GA 
  • Company: Sunbelt Staffing
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks (with possible extension upon successful start and completion)
  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional weekends and on-call duty (typically one weekend per month on-call)
  • Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience and territory budget
  • Mileage Reimbursement: from patient home to home
  • Blended Pay Packages: Available for travelers
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k match after 90 days

Job Responsibilities

  • Regularly assess patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status, documenting changes in condition.
  • Clean and dress wounds, monitor for signs of infection, and report any concerns to the supervising RN or physician.
  • Perform tasks such as blood draws, tube feedings, and other medical procedures as prescribed by the care plan.
  • Follow care plans developed by the supervising RN or physician, adjusting as necessary and communicating any changes.
  • Accurately document all patient care activities, assessments, and interactions using Homecare Homebase or similar software.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within the required timeframe, using Homecare Homebase for record-keeping.

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in the state of Georgia. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of home health experience.
  • Proficiency in Homecare Homebase (HCHB).
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license.
  • Ability to meet Joint Commission onboarding standards upon offer.
