Qualifications

  • -IL Early Intervention Credential 

    -IL Early Intervention Evaluation Certification as a Developmental Vision Therapist preferred 

    -CPR certification 

    -Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution with a major of one or more of the following: 

    o Teacher of the Visually Impaired 

    o Orientation and Mobility 

    o Special Education w/ specialty in Visual Impairments 

Responsibilities

  • Effectively plan and provide Early Intervention, developmental vision therapy service to children, 0-3 years old 
  • Provide targeted instruction and support to help students achieve their learning goals
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with a team of educators and specialists
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments as needed
  • Provide advocacy and support for students with special needs
