Qualifications

-IL Early Intervention Credential

-IL Early Intervention Evaluation Certification as a Developmental Vision Therapist preferred

-CPR certification

-Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution with a major of one or more of the following:

o Teacher of the Visually Impaired

o Orientation and Mobility

o Special Education w/ specialty in Visual Impairments

Responsibilities

Effectively plan and provide Early Intervention, developmental vision therapy service to children, 0-3 years old
Provide targeted instruction and support to help students achieve their learning goals
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with a team of educators and specialists
Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments as needed
Provide advocacy and support for students with special needs
