Job Details:

  • Position: Digital Special Education (SPED) Teacher

  • Location: Remote (Colorado-based)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, regular school hours

Responsibilities: As a Digital SPED Teacher, your warm and caring nature will be put to use as you:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide virtual instruction and adapt curriculum materials to support students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Offer guidance and support to students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Participate in virtual meetings and consultations with parents, teachers, and support staff to discuss student progress and develop effective intervention strategies.

Requirements: To ensure the success of our students, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Colorado Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students with diverse needs, preferably in a digital or remote setting.
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and a solid understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills, including the ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and students.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology for remote teaching, including online learning platforms and communication tools.
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting students' growth and development.
