This interim, full-time role focuses on collaborating with a dedicated school community to ensure the well-being and daily support of 5th-grade students, including bus riding duties.
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time, with duties that include bus transportation coverage
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) license
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- Proven experience assisting 5th-grade or similar-aged students with complex health needs, ideally in a 2:1 care ratio environment
- Comfortable providing attentive, compassionate care during both classroom activities and transportation periods
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially when working alongside educational and healthcare professionals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group care for students requiring ongoing medical support throughout the school day
- Maintain accurate documentation on interventions and student progress, ensuring compliance with school and healthcare protocols
- Assist with mobility, hygiene, medication administration, and any medical treatments per established care plans
- Provide supervision and support during student transport to ensure a safe and positive bus riding experience
- Collaborate with teachers, school nurses, and families to adapt care to evolving student needs
