Dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are needed for a 26-week contract role at a psychiatric and behavioral health hospital. In this role, youll provide direct care and support for individuals undergoing psychiatric or behavioral health treatment, working as part of a collaborative and patient-centered team.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Day shift: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
• Evening shift: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
• Night shift: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Overtime may be available based on facility needs

Qualifications:

• Current and active CNA certification required
• 1-2 years of previous contract experience required
• Must meet one of the following experience criteria:
  • At least 2 years direct experience in mental health settings (state hospitals or similar mental health care facilities)
  • At least 5 years of geriatric care experience (long-term care, nursing homes, or hospice settings)
  • At least 4 years of experience in emergency or urgent care roles
• Strong observational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable supporting individuals with mental health and behavioral challenges

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal support
• Monitor and accurately document patient behaviors, mood changes, and any safety concerns
• Participate in therapeutic activities and facilitate structured programming under nursing supervision
• Uphold behavioral health safety protocols and ensure a secure environment
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
• Communicate patient status and observations to the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility infection control and safety standards

$1,290 - $1,360/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
