Advance your career in behavioral health care by supporting patients in a psychiatric hospital setting. This 26-week contract Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role involves direct patient care, observation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide essential support to individuals facing mental health challenges. You'll be part of an environment focused on safety, dignity, and therapeutic engagement.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Shifts available:
  • Days: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
  • Evenings: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
  • Nights: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Overtime may be available based on facility needs

Responsibilities:

• Support patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meals
• Monitor and document patients behaviors, emotional changes, and safety issues
• Participate in therapeutic programs and activities as directed by clinical staff
• Uphold a secure, supportive environment by following specific behavioral health safety practices
• Assist nursing staff with admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
• Communicate important observations clearly with the care team
• Maintain strict compliance with confidentiality, infection control, and facility safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Active CNA certification (state requirements must be met)
• 12 years of previous contract experience required
• Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care is preferred
• Calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure or behavioral health situations
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings, as well as onboarding requirements

$1,290 - $1,360/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
