Job Description
Support students educational success by providing specialized Assistive Technology services in a vibrant school setting located in Riverside, CA. This full-time contract position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with diverse learners, including those served by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Special Education Teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement assistive technology solutions tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with SLPs, OTs, special education staff, and classroom teachers to integrate technology into IEP goals.
- Provide training and ongoing support to educators, students, and families on the use of assistive devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports related to assistive technology services.
- Stay current with advancements in assistive technology and best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Assistive Technology required.
- Experience working in school settings preferred, with familiarity working alongside SLPs (including SLPs with CCC credentials), OTs, and special education teachers.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage a caseload and maintain consistent schedules, working 40 hours per week, 5 days per week.
