Job Description

This opportunity is for an Assistive Technology Specialist to support students in a school setting in Riverside, CA. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, across 5 days. The role is ideal for professionals certified in assistive technology who are passionate about enhancing educational access for students with diverse needs.

Key qualifications include:

  • Valid Assistive Technology Certification
  • Experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Occupational Therapist (OT), Special Education Teacher, or related teaching roles supporting students with disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of assistive technology tools and strategies applicable in educational environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families to implement individualized support plans

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, recommending, and implementing assistive technology solutions to meet students individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Training staff and students on the use of assistive technology devices and software
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting technology supports as needed
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance student learning and accessibility
