Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Current California Assistive Technology Specialist license (required)
  • Background in special education and demonstrated proficiency in assistive technology
  • Experience training and supporting staff with the use of AT devices
  • Comfort working onsite with diverse caseloads across multiple locations
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students and educators regarding assistive technology
  • Assess learner needs and recommend appropriate AT devices and solutions
  • Conduct staff training sessions on the effective use and integration of AT tools
  • Collaborate with special education teachers and other professionals to ensure smooth transitions and compliance with IEP goals
  • Document, monitor, and follow up on student progress with technology solutions
