Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation, or a related field (Masters preferred)
  • Credential or certificate in Assistive Technology is highly desirable
  • Experience assessing, recommending, and implementing a broad range of assistive technology solutions
  • Strong familiarity with technology tools, software, and adaptive devices
  • Excellent communication skills for training, consulting, and teamwork
  • Prior work in schools or with K-12 students is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students needs to develop customized assistive technology strategies
  • Recommend, procure, and configure appropriate technology tools and devices
  • Offer training to students, teachers, and support staff on efficient use of assistive technologies
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform ongoing maintenance for assistive devices within the school
  • Document intervention plans and maintain compliance with required policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to monitor progress and update recommendations
