Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation, or a related field (Masters preferred)
- Credential or certificate in Assistive Technology is highly desirable
- Experience assessing, recommending, and implementing a broad range of assistive technology solutions
- Strong familiarity with technology tools, software, and adaptive devices
- Excellent communication skills for training, consulting, and teamwork
- Prior work in schools or with K-12 students is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students needs to develop customized assistive technology strategies
- Recommend, procure, and configure appropriate technology tools and devices
- Offer training to students, teachers, and support staff on efficient use of assistive technologies
- Troubleshoot issues and perform ongoing maintenance for assistive devices within the school
- Document intervention plans and maintain compliance with required policies and procedures
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to monitor progress and update recommendations
