Job Description

Remote Special Education Teacher - K-12 (Kansas)

As a Remote Special Education Teacher with Sunbelt, you will play a crucial role in the academic development and success of K-12 students with mild to moderate diagnoses. This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in special education to support students in need.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and weaknesses.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure students' educational needs are met.
Provide remote instruction and support to students with mild to moderate diagnoses.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and IEP goals.
Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Kansas Special Education Teaching Certification.
Previous experience working with K-12 students with mild to moderate diagnoses.
Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable with remote teaching technology and tools.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
