VocoVision is excited to announce an opening for a Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired. This fully remote role is ideal for educators who are passionate about enhancing learning experiences for students with visual impairments. Join us in making a difference!


Key Responsibilities

  • Customized Teaching: Design and deliver virtual lessons specifically tailored for visually impaired students.
  • IEP Development: Collaborate with families and educational teams to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Resource Integration: Utilize a comprehensive toolkit to enhance lesson delivery and support student engagement.
  • Monitoring Progress: Assess student performance regularly and adapt instruction to meet their unique needs.
  • Foster Independence: Support students in developing self-advocacy skills and independence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Education of the Visually Impaired, or related field.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
