Virginia - Fully Remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a Virginia school district. This position involves providing speech and language services to students across 3 elementary schools, and 1 middle school, each with unique needs. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical skills and be able to effectively use technology to deliver engaging virtual therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive virtual speech and language therapy to students across four elementary schools.
  • Conduct detailed assessments to identify individual student speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student support and progress.
  • Utilize various technology platforms for therapy sessions, data collection, and stakeholder communication.
  • Stay current with the latest telepractice techniques and tools in speech therapy.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress in compliance with district policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid ACTIVE Virginia SLP license and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP).
  • Proven experience in providing virtual therapy services.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency with teletherapy platforms and educational technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Student Needs:

  1. Articulation Disorders: Support students with pronunciation and clarity challenges.
  2. Language Delays: Assist students facing expressive and receptive language difficulties.
  3. Social Communication Skills: Provide therapy for students with pragmatic language deficits.
  4. Fluency Disorders: Work with students who experience stuttering and other fluency issues.
