Job Description

Sunbelt is now interviewing Step Down nurses for a contract assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. Must have two years experience in the field. Please have updated resume and two professional references ready.

Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Georgia.
Certifications:
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Certification in Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN) is desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a step-down or progressive care setting.

Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Monitoring:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients transitioning from the ICU to the step-down unit.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other relevant parameters to identify changes in patient condition.
Intermediate Care Interventions:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and monitoring patient responses.
- Perform and assist with procedures such as wound care, central line maintenance, and patient education.
Collaborative Care:
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for step-down patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and emotional support during the transition to a lower level of care.
