Job Description

Sunbelt is currently hiring an experienced Mammo Tech for a travel assignment in Newark, DE!

Please see details below:

Shift: 7:00AM-4:30PM

Duration: 12 Weeks initial contract. (with potential for extension).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of two year program in Radiology Technology is required.
Mammography certified when applicable
CPR Certification
Delaware State License
ARRT registered
An Associate’s degree is required; candidates are required to obtain their Associates of Science degree (can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the Education Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to provide care appropriate to all ages of patients including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Ability to function effectively as part of a small cohesive team is critical.
Ability to work independently and respond to a stressful situation.
Ability to physically respond to a crisis situation.
Ability to interact with all types of personnel and patients.
Ability to learn new technology.
Ability to adjust work schedules and volunteer for extra shifts if workload warrants.
Ability to coordinate simultaneous examination with accuracy.
Knowledge related to radiographic positioning, procedure techniques and quality control.
Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to Radioactive Safety and protection policy and department policies, procedures and guidelines.
Skill in oral and written communication.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

ARRT registered
Delaware State License
ARRT Mammography Registered if applicable
CPR Certification
