Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cat Scan Technologist to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles, California. As a Cat Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for operating advanced imaging equipment to perform diagnostic procedures on patients. Your primary focus will be on obtaining high-quality images of the body using computed tomography (CT) scanning techniques. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for CT scanning procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Position patients correctly on the CT examination table to ensure accurate imaging results.
  • Operate CT equipment and adjust parameters to obtain high-quality images while minimizing patient exposure to radiation.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the scanning process.
  • Review imaging results for quality and clarity, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures performed in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Calibrate and maintain CT equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in CT technology and attend continuing education programs to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Valid certification as a Cat Scan Technologist from an accredited program.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cat Scan Technologist, preferably in a hospital or medical center setting.
  • Proficient in operating CT scanning equipment and associated software.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality imaging results.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
