Job Description
Provide specialized speech therapy services in a hospital setting supporting patient rehabilitation and recovery. This contract position is based in Palm Coast, FL, with potential for occasional travel to nearby healthcare sites. The role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized care plans for patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Schedule/Hours:
- 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Rotating weekends required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Develop and implement customized therapy plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience working in acute care or hospital-based therapy preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment
