A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with acute care experience is needed for a 13-week contract based in Dunnellon, FL. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to acute care patients.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and timely.
- Adhere to hospital policies and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Active Florida SLP license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload efficiently.
Schedule & Details:
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday.
- Expected hours: 40 per week.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Orientation start dates available: March 23 or April 6.
- Credentialing required by the Wednesday prior to start date.
