Job Description
A Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) role is available in a dynamic outpatient setting focused on orthopedics, neurological conditions, and general debility. This position involves delivering one-on-one treatment sessions using advanced therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and Lite Gait to improve patient outcomes. Operating within a team-oriented environment, the PTA will support patient care across two outpatient locations to meet patient demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments to orthopedic, neurological, and general debility patients.
- Utilize modalities including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and Lite Gait as appropriate.
- Float between outpatient locations to accommodate patient scheduling needs.
- Document treatment accurately within the Epic EMR system.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient care plans.
- Uphold facility standards regarding dress code, safety, and professionalism.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- CPR certification.
- Minimum of one year experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy preferred.
- Exposure to neuro, balance, and pain management therapy is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
Schedule & Location:
- Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM (36 hours weekly).
- Position located in Rensselaer, Indiana at a 25-bed outpatient therapy facility.
- Parking conveniently available behind the building and adjacent to the hospital.
- Orientation includes EMR and computer-based training upon arrival.
