Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Physical Therapy and a valid state Physical Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Proven clinical experience in hospital settings preferred
  • Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and standardized assessment tools
  • Strong documentation skills with experience in electronic health records
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills when collaborating with healthcare professionals and supporting patients, families, and caregivers
  • Capacity to supervise and mentor physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, or students
  • Commitment to APTA and state-specific practice standards, ethics, and code of conduct

Schedule/Hours:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with physical or wound care needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans following clinical and regulatory standards
  • Employ manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, ambulation, assistive devices, and wound care as needed
  • Monitor patient progress, adapt interventions, and update clinical records in compliance with requirements
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary meetings and participate in ongoing education and training sessions
  • Provide clear discharge summaries and refer patients for additional services as necessary
  • Secure needed durable medical equipment or supplies per clinical practice guidelines
