Job Description

A home health physical therapy role is available in Dunedin, FL, offering a contract opportunity focused on providing specialized care in patients residences. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home skilled visits averaging 6 to 8 patients per day, focusing on cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, neuro, ortho, and oncology specialties
  • Perform thorough assessments and develop home exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs
  • Manage documentation using electronic systems for scheduling and record-keeping
  • Educate patients and their families on medications, safety, and injury prevention
  • Utilize a range of equipment and devices such as crutches, gait belts, hospital beds, and supplemental oxygen delivery systems
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, including mandatory mask wearing and vaccination requirements

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years home health experience
  • Knowledge of OASIS documentation preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for home visits
  • Proficient in patient assessment and skilled in managing cardiopulmonary and orthopedic conditions
  • Ability to self-schedule visits based on office needs including every third weekend

Schedule:

  • Day shift, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
