Deliver specialized occupational therapy services in a dynamic inpatient rehabilitation environment at a well-equipped hospital in Gainesville, FL. This travel assignment offers a guaranteed 40-hour workweek over six weeks with a weekend rotation, ideal for professionals seeking focused hands-on experience without the challenges of early cancellations, RTO, or attendance issues.
Location Overview: Gainesville, FL, is a vibrant city known for its friendly community, lush parks, and strong healthcare industry. The hospital is situated conveniently on SW 41st Blvd, offering access to local amenities and a supportive clinical team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including ADLs training, transfers, therex, balance, gait training, and functional mobility.
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and maximize independence.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary rehab team within a 30-bed unit featuring typical IPR gym equipment.
- Document all services efficiently using the Meditech (Expanse) system.
- Participate in weekend rotation as part of the unit schedule.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current BLS certification required.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly and function independently in a fast-paced hospital rehab setting.
- Experience with inpatient rehabilitation preferred.
- Comfortable with new hospital and unit startup processes.
- Willingness to follow dress code: light gray scrubs.
Shift Details:
- Day shift only
- Weekend rotation required
