Job Description
Occupational Therapy professional sought for a travel assignment in a dynamic inpatient rehabilitation unit located in Alachua, FL. This opportunity offers a guaranteed 40-hour workweek with a weekend rotation and a rapid response start date. The unit supports comprehensive rehab therapy in a 30-bed setting, working alongside a multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, SLP, and tech staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, therapeutic exercises, and functional training
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals and techniques
- Collaborate with team members to optimize patient care and outcomes
- Document patient progress using Meditech (Expanse) electronic systems
- Participate in weekend rotation to support continuous patient care
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license required
- Current BLS certification mandatory
- Experience with inpatient rehabilitation preferred
- Adaptability to a fast-paced hospital environment and ability to work independently
- Previous travel therapy experience is a plus but not required
Schedule/Hours:
- 40 hours per week guaranteed
- Day shift only
- Weekend rotation required (no call or early cancels)
- No reported attendance concerns
