Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the upcoming school year in the Warrenton, VA area. This full-time position is a contract role that provides the opportunity to work with students ranging in age from early childhood to high school.

Responsibilities:

Provide instruction and support to students who are deaf and hard of hearing
Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech-language pathologists and audiologists, to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Adapt and modify curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
Use assistive technology and communication devices to facilitate instruction and communication between students and their peers and teachers
Monitor and assess student progress, and adjust instruction as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Experience working with students who are deaf and hard of hearing
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Familiarity with assistive technology and communication devices
