Summertime Intervention Specialist Opening – Dayton, OH
A school district in the Dayton, OH area is seeking an intervention Specialist to fill an open summertime caseload. This district needs someone who can start mid May and fulfill a part-time summer caseload which ends at the end of July. Jump right in and lead students with quality aids and services. Work with a school district that supports its teachers and students!

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in General Education or related fields
  • Must have a valid OH Intervention Specialist License
  • Previous Special Education Teaching experience preferred but not required.
  • Pass a Drug screening and background check.

Job Specifics:

  • Part-time, onsite Monday – Thursday, 5-15 hrs/wk
  • Lessons and materials are provided.
  • Variable disabilities but mostly Autism with some MS and OHI.
  • Administer, transfer, and interpret diagnostic data. 
  • Act as classroom teacher and provide support.
  • Monitor all areas of the Individualized Education Plan 
  • Adapt curriculum with individual plans and instructional materials.
  • Maintain standards of student behavior to achieve functional learning atmospheres.
  • Promote inclusion opportunities for students.
  • Collaborate with staff and general education teachers.
  • Further caseload details will be discussed in interview and placement will be based off experience.
