Job Description

A Infection Disease Program EPI III is needed in Chicago, IL for a full-time position. The ideal candidate would be flexible with their work schedule and have the ability to pass a background check and drug test. Please see more details below: 

Job Duties: 

  • The Epidemiologist Ill contractor will serve as a project coordinator & will assist with data analysis to track the cause, effect (e.g., prevalence, incidence, time trends on various populations);  

  • will design surveys for the collection of epidemiological data.  

  • will help to identify new causes and risk factors associated with HIV/STI morbidity and conducting special studies.  

  • Epidemiologist Ill will be creating tables, graphs and data summaries for reports on epidemiological investigations and providing support to the Principal Investigator on an implementation of the grant goals/objectives.  

  • Epidemiologist Ill will conduct data using statistical software such as SAS or R: and assist with the development of oral and written summaries and data visualizations for a variety of internal and external audiences.  

  • will assist in the development, distribution, and follow-up of monthly data and programmatic quality assurance reports and will participate in meetings and response activities, including the on-call system, and assist with other projects as needed.  

  • Will serve as a project coordinator/data liaison will work with other programs within the Syndemic Infectious Disease Bureau to create and maintain shared databases on health-related issues. Epidemiologist Ill will perform other duties as assigned. 

Job Details: 

  • 35 Hour work weeks 

  • 8:30am-4:30pm 

  • Contracted for 28 weeks 

  • Monday- Friday Position 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a relative field supplemented by two years of progressively responsible experience in the administration of public health programs, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
