Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team near Vallejo City, CA. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the communication and language skills of our students with special needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized therapy plans developed by the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for students with speech, language, and/or swallowing disorders.
  • Conduct routine screenings and progress monitoring to track student development and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
  • Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, and other staff members to create a comprehensive and seamless support system for each student.
  • Document student progress and maintain detailed records in accordance with ethical and professional standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes communication and social interaction for students.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid California State SLPA license or be eligible for licensure upon hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with children with speech and language disabilities in a school setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
