We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic team with a school district near Lafayette, IN. As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome communication and language challenges. Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in implementing therapy plans and interventions to address students' speech and language disorders.
  • Work closely with students individually or in small groups to provide targeted therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and support students' academic progress.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of student progress, observations, and therapy sessions.
  • Provide assistance with administrative tasks, such as preparing materials, scheduling appointments, and organizing therapy resources.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
  • Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility to obtain certification in the state of Indiana.
  • Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant assessment tools and therapy techniques for speech and language disorders.
