Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Annapolis, Maryland
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in Annapolis, MD. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. Your expertise and commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment will contribute to the success and growth of our students.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring that goals and objectives are aligned with their individual abilities and educational requirements.
Adapt instructional materials, strategies, and techniques to meet the unique learning needs of each student.
Provide direct instruction in a variety of subjects, including reading, writing, math, and life skills.
Assess students' progress regularly and modify instructional strategies as needed.
Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to develop and implement inclusive instructional practices and accommodations.
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes inclusivity, respect, and engagement.
Utilize assistive technologies and adaptive equipment to enhance students' access to the curriculum.
Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and other relevant meetings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid certification in Special Education in the state of Maryland.
Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with a variety of instructional strategies, techniques, and assistive technologies.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
