Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is looking to hire a full-time Special Education Teachers, near Lakewood, CO. The position is open to those with a passion for teaching students with several disabilities, and have a license to be a Special Education Teacher in Colorado.

Job Details:

Full-time Position
Full School Year Contract
On-Site Only
Varying students with mild to severe disabilities: Cognitive, emotional and behavioral
Ages PK-6th

Qualifications:

SPED License in Colorado and CDE
Knowledge of IEP System
Previous school based experience
Willingness and ability to meet the diverse needs of learners (including special education, at-risk, linguistically, and culturally diverse) by adjusting curriculum and working cooperatively with other staff through inclusion
Able to work with K-21

Responsibilities:

Ability to work with different ages
Effective communication skills with team and students
Knowledge and Experience with Evaluations, Assessments, Screenings, IEPS & Behavioral Analysis
Ability to balance multiple cases/students and instruct effectively for content mastery
