Job Description

Special Education Teacher Position- Day School/ High School Caseloads

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects, such as reading, writing, and math, to students with mild and moderate disabilities.
Collaborate with other teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure that students' needs are met.
Assess students’ skills to determine their needs and develop teaching plans.
Monitor students’ progress and update IEPs as necessary.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on student performance.
Implement and maintain behavior management systems to support student learning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
State of IL certification in Special Education.
LBS1 PEL Credentials
