Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Cranston, RI area! As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to K-12 students with emotional impairments, helping them to achieve academic success and develop life skills.


  • Provide services to emotionally impaired K-12 students 
  • Provide specialized instruction and support in a variety of subject areas
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and materials to meet the individual needs of students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjust instruction as needed, and provide regular progress reports to parents and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant information
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Rhode Island teaching certificate in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to meet the needs of students
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to student success
