Job Description

Special Education Teacher Needed – Aspen Park, CO
Sunbelt is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to fill an open role within a Aspen Park, CO area school district. This supportive district is looking for someone that can start at the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year and assist their students throughout the full year. After successful completion of the 23/24 school year, candidates will have an opportunity to return for future caseloads based on performance.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education or related fields
Must have an active CO Special Education teaching certificate.
Must have CO CDE certification or willing to obtain one.
Previous Special Education Teaching experience preferred but not required.
Must be able to pass a Drug screen and background check.

Job specifics:

Full-time: 37.5hrs/wk, Monday – Friday
Conduct assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations of students to identify learning issues.
Assist students and teaching staff in implementing IEPs and behavior modification plans.
Coordinate with administrators and other staff.
Work with a small caseload that has moderate to severe needs. More details will be discussed in an interview and will be placed depending on experience and skill set.
