Special Education Teacher – Naperville, IL

Sunbelt is hiring for Special Education teachers in the Naperville, IL area focusing on ages 11 - 22. This is a full-time position in a great Illinois school district for the 22-23 school year. If you’re interested, please see the below details and apply.

Qualifications

  • IL Special Education License
  • LBS1 Credential
  • Previous experience working with Special Education students
  • Must be able to commute near Naperville, IL

Caseload:

  • Full time: Monday - Friday
  • Range of disabilities: primary disability of Autism, often a secondary disability of intellectual disability or emotional disability
  • Students are considered Significantly impacted with Autism; many are non-verbal and utilize ACC devices
  • Students struggle with the ability to self-regulate, so at times students can become physically aggressive
  • All staff are training in Safety-Care (it is a licensed program to keep students and staff safe in the event of the need to implement physical restraints)
