Job Description

Special Education Teacher needed for 2023 -2024 school year!

Location: Homer Glen, IL

Overview: Sunbelt is hiring for a full-time position working with 1st grade students. A Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement for special education is required.

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support to 1st grade students with diverse needs
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet individual requirements
Collaborate with general education teachers to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Foster a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere for active student participation
Empower students to develop essential academic and social skills for success

Requirements:

Must be a valid US citizen
Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
Endorsement for a special education teacher
Previous experience with 1st grade students is preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
