Job Description

Sunbelt staffing currently has an opening for a school special education teacher for a full time position near Shakopee, MN. The caseload for this position is around 6-8 students. There are openings for grades 5th-10th, by preference/ experience of the teacher and it will be a self contained classroom with mostly physical and emotional behavioral issues.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, providing specialized instruction and support, and collaborating with other educators and support staff to ensure that all students receive an inclusive education that meets their unique needs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
Special Education Teaching License REQUIRED
EBD or ASD Licensure
Experience working with students with disabilities
Knowledge of special education laws and regulations

Responsibilities:

Instruct students both individually and in group settings
Plan curriculum, special ed programs and teaching methods.
Evaluate and monitor student progress in and outside of the classroom
Evaluate student progress based on output and work output
Determine and implement set goals, objectives and directives
