SLP/SLPA Speech Language Pathologist With Benefits (Full Time/Part Time)- Walnut Creek, CA Area

Key Responsibilities:

For SLP:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement customized therapy plans tailored to each student's specific needs
  • Provide direct therapy sessions, working closely with students to improve their communication skills
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert insights and contributing to goal-setting for student success

For SLPA:

  • Assist the SLP by carrying out therapy sessions according to the established treatment plans
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on targeted speech and language goals
  • Track and document student progress, regularly reporting updates to the SLP
  • Help prepare and adapt therapy materials to meet the needs of each student
  • Work collaboratively with the SLP, teachers, and families to ensure students receive comprehensive support

Qualifications:

  • For SLP: Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • For SLPA: Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred for both roles
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passionate about making a difference in students' lives through improved communication
