Job Description

This opportunity seeks experienced Teachers for the Visually Impaired to provide specialized educational support to K-12 students. This contract position, located onsite in Worcester, MA, offers flexible scheduling with options for full-time or part-time hours throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and support to visually impaired students across all K-12 grade levels
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote accessibility and inclusivity
  • Utilize specialized materials and assistive technology designed for students with visual impairments
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records of interventions and outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license required
  • Demonstrated experience teaching visually impaired students in a K-12 setting preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, parents, and related service providers
  • Ability to adapt instructional techniques to diverse learner needs
