An opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students within a school setting in Washington, PA. This contract position spans the full school year, providing specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students to enhance their learning experiences and educational outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering tailored instruction aligned with individual student needs and state standards
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective educational plans
• Utilizing assistive technology and specialized materials to facilitate access to the curriculum
• Conducting assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
• Providing training and resources to peers and parents on visual impairment best practices

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure in Teaching Students with Visual Impairments or equivalent credentials
• Proven experience working with visually impaired students in K-12 educational settings
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technology specific to visual impairments
