Job Description

A part-time opportunity is available for a licensed Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide telehealth services to K-12 students in Texico, NM. This contract position supports learners with visual impairments through specialized instruction tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering telehealth-based educational services to students with visual impairments
Developing and implementing tailored lesson plans focused on visual support and skill development
Collaborating with school staff and families to ensure consistent support across learning environments
Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed
Maintaining compliance with state regulations and documentation requirements

Qualifications:

Valid New Mexico license for Teachers of the Visually Impaired
Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments
Strong skills in telehealth delivery and digital instructional tools
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and related compliance standards
