Job Description

A part-time opportunity is available for a licensed Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide telehealth services to K-12 students in Texico, NM. This contract position supports learners with visual impairments through specialized instruction tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering telehealth-based educational services to students with visual impairments
  • Developing and implementing tailored lesson plans focused on visual support and skill development
  • Collaborating with school staff and families to ensure consistent support across learning environments
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed
  • Maintaining compliance with state regulations and documentation requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Mexico license for Teachers of the Visually Impaired
  • Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments
  • Strong skills in telehealth delivery and digital instructional tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and related compliance standards
