Job Description

A teaching opportunity is available for a licensed professional specializing in visual impairment education to support K-12 students through telehealth services. This part-time role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students within a K-12 school setting.

Location:

  • Portales, NM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver telehealth instruction and support tailored to the needs of visually impaired students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services.
  • Participate in professional development and training to stay current with best practices in visual impairment education.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Mexico teaching license specifically for Teachers of the Visually Impaired.
  • Experience working with students who have visual impairments in K-12 educational settings.
  • Proficiency in telehealth service delivery is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a part-time schedule effectively.
